Core Fields
The field labels are the display names for your fields. For fields that you are going to use in faceting or comparison it is important to use good field labels, these will be the field names that display to your customers.
Update Fields
The update fields button will re-validate your data feed and build new fields that are found in your data feed that did not exist previously.
Data Preview
The data preview is included in each field settings page. It shows the first 25 records found in your data feed and the fields that relate to those 25 records. If there is a field that only exists in records beyond the first 25 they will not be included in this preview. This preview is useful to check your data when setting up fields.
