Field Labels
Core labels are special fields within SearchSpring, these are commonly found fields in ecommerce sites, and we do some special optimizations to make these lightning quick. The Unique ID, Product Name, Product URL fields are required, but we recommend filling in which ever ones you're going to use. These core fields are automatically displayable in product templates.
Custom Type
You can also use custom fields to map to multiple fields or other text. Just wrap fields you want to use in % characters. For example, your product URL may be something like "http://www.mysite.com/%prod_id%".
Update Fields
The update fields button will re-validate your data feed and build new fields that are found in your data feed that did not exist previously.
Data Preview
The data preview is included in each field settings page. It shows the first 25 records found in your data feed and the fields that relate to those 25 records. If there is a field that only exists in records beyond the first 25 they will not be included in this preview. This preview is useful to check your data when setting up fields.
