The Expanded Searches report displays loose search results that function as a "backup" when the original search finds zero matching results.
For most Searchspring sites, we require every search term to be found in a product's searchable data to show in results to ensure the best relevance. This practice is called "strict search". In some cases, when there would be zero search results, sites can break this rule and instead fall back to a "loose search", in which at least one searched word must be found in a product, but not all.
The feature that falls back to a loose search only when there are zero results for the original search is called Expanded Search, and the Expanded Searches report shows how often that occurs on your site.
Note: If you do not have this function enabled, the Expanded Searches report will be empty.
Searches that couldn't find any products even after being expanded to a loose search do not appear on this report.
If you're interested in getting Expanded Searches on your site, please contact your customer success representative.
Note: This report has been upgraded and is now hosted on ThoughtSpot. The upgrade provides enhanced functionality along with the data users are already familiar with from the original iteration in the Searchspring Management Console (SMC).
Note: Visualizations (widgets) are sorted in descending order.

- Adding synonyms for some of the words in the table below the chart
- Adding some more of the terms to your searchable product data from the table below the chart
