The Categories Report provides a deep dive into how shoppers interact with category (or collection) pages on an ecommerce site. It offers insights into traffic volume, shopper engagement, product visibility, and revenue contribution, helping identify which categories are performing well and which ones may need optimization.

Category data will appear only if you are utilizing Athos Commerce's Category Page installations and if you have the Search/Category Insights feature enabled. Contact your customer success representative for more information.
Note: Visualizations (widgets) are sorted in descending order.

Visualization and report options
Within any visualization on the report, click the three-dot menu at the top right. Select "Download" to choose between an .xlsx or .csv export, or choose "Present" to view the visualization in full-screen mode.
The top right corner of the report has a separate kebab menu that offers "Download" and "Present" along with the options to create or manage schedules for sending this report.
Searching the report
By default, the report includes filter data for all categories. However, you may click the "Search" button at the top of the page and use the tabs along the top to include or exclude terms. A new "Search" window will appear and allow you to type in a search term and apply it to the report.
You may also search for specific keywords within this report; simply click the "Search" button at the top of the report. Search for the desired term and click "Apply" to save this refinement. The report will update to display your selected search.
To remove the applied search term, click the "Search" button again and un-check the search term, then click "Apply". The report will reset to its original state.
Date
Click the Date selection tool to choose a date range for the report.
Currency
Click the Currency selection tool to choose a currency for the report if your account is configured for multiple currencies.
*Category
Click the Category selection tool to limit the report to a particular collection handle.
Category Pages (Select)
Click the Category Pages tool to filter the report by specific categories.
Total Page View
This visualization shows the total category renders during the selected date range.
Click-through Rate
This visualization shows the percentage of viewed results that were clicked during the selected date range.
Total Revenue
This visualization shows the total revenue from category results during the selected date range.
Top Five Category by Revenue
This visualization displays the top five categories ranked by the highest revenue.
Total Page View by Date
This chart shows how many times shoppers visited category pages by date.
Top 10 Popular Filters Used in Category
This chart shows the most popular filters that shoppers interacted with across categories.
Category Summary
The Summary table gives a high-level overview of category page interactions performed by shoppers during the selected date range.
Category Pages
This column displays the name of the category pages.
Page View
Page Views indicate the number of times a category page was viewed for the date range selected.
Unique Page View
A unique page view is the number of distinct shoppers who visited the category page.
Avg time on page
The average amount of time (in minutes and seconds) that shoppers spent on this category page before moving to a different page.
Products Purchased
This column displays the number of products purchased from the selected category during the selected date range. Purchase is attributed to products clicked and purchased from that category page.
Bounce Rate
This column displays the bounce rate for the selected category during the selected date range. A "bounce" is defined as a shopper viewing this category once, but not exploring (or clicking) it any further. The "Bounce Rate" is the percentage of shoppers who landed on this category without exploring it further. A higher bounce rate indicates lower interaction from your shoppers in this category.
Total Filters
This column shows the total number of filters applied to the selected category.
CTR
This column displays the click-through rate (CTR) for viewed results of the selected category during the specified date range.
Conversion Rate
This column displays the conversion rate for the selected category during the specified date range.
Revenue
This column displays the total revenue for the selected category during the specified date range.
View products
Click this link to view the products from the selected category. You will be taken to the Product Performance report, which provides product-level performance within a specific category. It shows the top five most viewed, most clicked, and most sold products from the category.
Actions
Click this link to edit the selected campaign or create a campaign if one does not yet exist for the selected category.
