Content Search would need to be part of your Service Plan in order to implement this feature. Talk to your Sales Representative or Customer Success Manager to discuss the initial requirements for including this feature.
Wouldn't it be nice to allow your customers to search through your blogs just as quickly and easily as they do your products? Imagine selecting a collection of blogs by author or category, and then sorting them according to published date or even popularity. Well, it's certainly possible. Just like with products, all Searchspring needs to power your content search is a data feed file. Below is a list of required and recommended fields to include.
SUPPORTED CONTENT FEED FORMATS
Your Content Feed can be in CSV, XML, or JSON format. Refer back to our Data Feed Guide for samples of those formats while considering the Content-specific data fields mentioned below.
Regardless of the format of your content feed, you will need to provide a Hosted URL to your data feed, with that data feed updated on a regular basis to ensure your latest Content records exists within that file.
REQUIRED FIELDS
In order to successfully generate blog pages as search results, the following required fields need to be provided in the feed:
- ID
- Title
- URL
- Content
RECOMMENDED FIELDS
While not required for indexing, these additional fields provide the information that can be used for additional filters and sort options, making it easier for your viewers to find the blogs they want. Some commonly used additional fields include the following:
- Image
- Author
- Date Published
- Category
