This differs from the usual start url feeds for MerchOps requests as its a secondary feed.
- In order for MerchOps to extract Metadata for Shopify sites, you will first need to request a standard Shopify extraction and have this mapped into the platform.
- Once you have done this create the following Secondary feed and share the URL for the secondary feed in the MerchOps request when asking for a Meta Fields extraction.
(NOTE: a secondary feed in this context is NOT a regular partner feed. It has to be this way around so that it is unaffected by any exclusion rules and also because it can contain duplicate IDs)
Secondary Feed creation Reminder
- Setup / [Feed Editor V1]
- Click "System Feeds" -> Add Secondary Feed
- Please give the secondary feed a useful name, It is possible over time there might be more than one secondary feed and this obviously helps to distinguish between them
- Choose the correct source feed to use with this secondary i.e. the one that is related to the Main Shopify Source feed, in step 1 of this how-to-guide.
3. Master Field Columns to create in the secondary feed exactly as shown below:
- Product (mapped to "p_id")
- Product_Variants (mapped to "ir_p_variants_ids")
- Image_IDs (ir_p_images_variants_ids)
- Link_URL (mapped to "ir_v_url")
- Name (p_title)
4. Once you have done this then share the link to this secondary feed master feed i.e.
