Data privacy and protection is important to us, and that is why we provide support for the following requests from merchandisers:
- Erase shopper data
- Request shopper data
- Erase store data
- Do not track a shopper
- Are you tracking a shopper?
Shopify
If you are a Shopify merchandiser, then you can simply request these actions in the Shopify portal. Here’s how it works:
Erase personal data
If you receive this request from a shopper, log into your Shopify account and navigate to Customers in the left hand menu. Here, you can select the customer you’d like to action and click on “Erase personal data”.
The request will be sent directly to Searchspring and we will complete the request within 30 days of receiving the request.
Request customer data
If you receive this request from a shopper, log into your Shopify account and navigate to Customers in the left hand menu. Here, you can select the customer you’d like to action and click on “Request customer data”.
The request will be sent directly to Searchspring and we will complete the request within 30 days of receiving the request.
Erase store data
If you simply delete the Searchspring Application from your Shopify account, your CSM will contact you to confirm that you’d like your data to be deleted, and will answer any questions you may have about this request.
Not on Shopify? Not to worry
If you are not connected to Shopify, our support team will manually process your data requests. Simply submit a support ticket that includes the requested action (erase shopper data, request shopper data or delete store data) and the customer ID for the shopper in question (if applicable). Please note that we cannot process requests that include sensitive shopper information such as email addresses.
This applies to headless merchandisers that do use Shopify.
Do Not Track Requests
We manually process requests relating to shopper tracking status. Simply create a support ticket that includes the customer ID and the request, and a support expert will get back to you promptly. Here is what you can request:
- Are you tracking this customer ID?
- Do not track this customer ID
