Two campaigns cannot have overlapping sets of page contexts and date/time ranges. If there is a conflict with another campaign, you will not be able to save the campaign and the Context & Schedule toolboxes will have an alert:
To resolve the conflict, click into either the Context toolbox or Schedule toolbox. Any contexts that conflict with other campaigns will be highlighted in red. If it's not already expanded, click on a conflicting context page to expand it and view the details of what the conflict is. In the below example, we see that the page "Category: All Dresses" is conflicting with the campaign "All Dresses", which also has the same page context of "Category: All Dresses". The conflicting campaign is linked, so you can view it separately to compare if necessary.
There are various ways to resolve a campaign:
- Change the Page Context: Modify the page by clicking the "edit" icon at the top right of the conflicting page.
- Change the Schedule: Go to the Schedule toolbox to change the schedule to something outside of the other campaign's date range.
- Delete the other campaign: Go to the campaign you want to delete, go to the Save toolbox, and click into the Delete tab.
- Remove the conflicting page: If there are multiple pages set up, you can use the grey minus to the right of the conflicting page set to remove it.
